Achieved works in Iraq Stock Exchange, April 2008

 

 1- Organize and hold (13) trading session, in average three sessions per week.

  And the last session was holding on Tuesday 29/4/2008.

2- The total of traded shares (7.225) billion shares in the trading volume (10.452) billion ID through executed (2529) transactions.    

    Total shares traded by non Iraqi's (300) million shares in trading volume (423) million ID, the number of transactions (161).      

    ISX price index closed at first session at (37.460) point and closed in last session at (37.300) decrease in (0.4%).               

3- Board of Governors hold two sessions and hold five meeting with Electronic trading experts three of them in the presence of Electronic trading manager.

4- Al-Sabah newspaper , middle east , Al-Hayat , Iraqi Business community , Al-Mada Al-Hurriya Radio spread reports which covered trading activity to spread investment knowledge and boursa culture .

5- Organize Federation of Euro –Asian stock Exchange (FEAS) reports and spread it in ISX location in the Federation.

6- Iraqi Securities commission hold two meeting to received comments to discuss the draft for new securities law , the first meeting on Monday 14/4/2008 with ISX brokers and ISX listed companies , the second meeting on Monday 21/4/2008 with number of economics , experts and specialists in investment matters .

Iraq Stock Exchange & Iraqi Securities Commission from 1/4/2008 spread in its International location net the draft law in two version Arabic & English specified Iraqi Securities commission location to received comments.

7-we are still preparing from ISX Administration to hold ISX general Assembly meeting on Saturday 17/4/2008 in ISX building. ISX administration received many of nomination from listed companies and closed on Monday 27/4/2008 in receiving five nominating of executive managers for these companies, ISX Administration direct a letter No. (BOG /85) in 28/4/2008 to the listed companies to chose one nominate as maximum date 7/5/2008 so ISX administration to chose three nominating to produce it in ISX general assembly meeting.

8- Hold general assembly meeting for Iraqi Association of securities Dealers its meeting on Wednesday 30/4/2008 in union building to discuss final accountancy as31/12/2007 and elected new council.

 9- Execution five successful test (100%) for electronic trading project (test 1 Environment ) through April and hold five successful experiments trading session including test for Horizon & Equator , number of brokers doing trading from its stations in ISX building , number of employees doing their duties like opening prepare , receive commands , opening session, ISX surveillance , save data , execution , cancelled transactions , opening investors accounts .

Project manager will expended brokers participants base in test on Saturday 3/5/2008 and doing electronic trading session in all its explanations except electronic clearance which ready to prepare it with Iraqi Investment Bank. As we mentioned that there are 4 listed companies ready to start deposit their shares to ISX system after succeed in required test and moving to ISX Production, moving to participants deposit operation to their shares in Depository center.

10- Receive initial text of Back Office from Iraqi Association of securities Dealers after successful test in test 1

11- finishing from prepare companies Guide draft publish 2008 from public Relation Department which include financial data to the listed companies and financial ratio for the period 2004- 2006 and to the number of companies from 2004 till 2007 .
